May went by quickly

Another month has passed so quickly that we barely have time to document the rapid transition from spring to summer that took place this month.

Due to the above-average heat, the garden practically exploded with blossoms. Often, nothing was visible in the morning, but by the afternoon something was already blooming, only to wither again a day or two later. Some buds seemed unable to mature, stunted on the stem. The later tulip varieties withered even before flowering, despite our daily watering. For most plants, the heat is simply too much.
