We weren’t very surprised to see the first snow this morning—it had been freezing all week. A thin white blanket, just enough to transform the garden. As every year, we quickly took some photos for documentation—soon the garden will be muddy again, and its previous autumn state will be restored.

A photo walk always reveals details we don’t see on our daily strolls, and we’re constantly surprised. This time it was the winter jasmine by the shade tunnel, which is already in bloom. The Christmas roses, hidden beneath the hydrangeas and ferns, have also opened. Soon, the next winter bloomers will follow.
