March 1st

Finally sun, finally warm weather – just right to finally work in the garden.
It’s high time. Through the freezing winter months, we weren’t ready to do anything in the garden. But now!
Clean up!

First in the desert garden, which is in the sun almost all day – where we’re sure the first flowers will grow.

A lot of leaves have accumulated here, and many dried-up plants had to be removed.

What happened three days ago now shows that it was high time… the first crocuses have enough space to bloom!
The snowdrops already have age spots and are beginning to wilt, while the Heleboruses are now taking their place. Snowdrops, hazel, and Japanese mahonia are also already blooming.
