We spent the second week of March in Dalmatia – spring gazing! Peaches and plums were already in bloom, and bluebells were everywhere. The day we returned home was a rainy day, and it rained at home too, so now that the sun is shining every day again, we can watch the garden awaken in spring!

We finally have time to prune trees and shrubs, and we’ve already started on the overgrown ivy on the neighbor’s wall. Everything down below was already overgrown, too. It was a painstaking chore to remove the overgrowth. We’ll plant rhododendrons and hydrangeas there. The soil there is ideal for it. The liverworts, crocuses, and violets are now flourishing, and overnight, some daffodils and all the wild tulips in the rock garden bloomed!
