After Laura’s ladies tea events were discontinued due to Covid, Laura had the idea to summarize the recipes already used in a book.
After consultation, we decided to make a monthly split in connection with the garden and the seasons. In addition, the book should not be a mere collection of baking recipes, but also contain explanatory texts on the baking ingredients used or historical insights into some baked goods. During our research we were mainly able to fall back on our extensive – domestic and international – cookbook collection, which dates back to 1870. The traditional recipes collected on many trips were also used here. Much was also created or modified by us. It took a year of work to produce a 400-page book with 130 recipes, explanatory texts and pictures from the garden.
