Delayed sowing due to bad weather and snail damage meant that this year’s harvest will be delayed and rather poor.
The first green beans and peas were completely destroyed by snails, so we came up with the idea of starting them in pots. However, because the growing season coincided with the intense heat, we were only able to get a small harvest.
We’re doing better with the tomatoes, which we’re already eating almost every evening. Peppers and zucchini are also constantly being overcooked. The eggplants will also ripen soon.
We’ll try peas again in August; we’ve already planted beans.
And we’ve finally gotten around to setting up four new IBC containers for irrigation.
