Unfortunately, August didn’t start very well. On the night of August 2nd, the main branch of our best apple tree broke under the weight of its many fruits. We had feared this and had been picking apples for a long time to ease the burden… apparently not enough.
A shoot is growing upwards at the cut site, and we hope that it will develop into a new main shoot, which will then take over the function of the top.
