The hydrangeas, which bloomed much earlier this year, are increasingly retreating. A few are still blooming here and there. The goldenrod is also already retreating, while the perovskia is stubbornly holding its ground. Most of the asters and the giant knotweed are blooming on time, as are the Jerusalem artichokes.
Some blackberries are still ripening, and we’ll soon be harvesting apples and pears. We’ve already eaten the 10 plums on the new tree – the 12 on the old tree are already waiting for us. We’ll also be harvesting the grapes soon.
The forsythia on the workshop wall is feeling the spring fever.
