Time and again, we see insects in the plant portraits that we hadn’t noticed when photographing them because they were usually very small.
So why not go insect hunting?!
It’s a bit tedious, because, as is usual with hunting, you need time and patience. They’re everywhere, but do they stay still? You have to stay still, quietly and patiently stalking them slowly—we don’t photograph with a super-telephoto lens, after all.
Oh well! Many a great photo didn’t turn out because the little creature wouldn’t stay still—or flew away immediately.
So hours pass, sneaking through the garden with telephoto-focused eyes to create a small contribution.
