Finally, above-freezing temperatures, and finally, some sunshine!

The gray, cold weather seems to be over—we hope.

We watch in amazement as the limp, frost-damaged leaves of some plants straighten up, as the fallen snowdrops lift their blossoms and even bloom anew.

For several weeks now, we’ve been observing the tips of the snowdrops steadily pushing their way through the frost-hardened earth—and now they’ve reached their goal: they’ve been blooming for three days!

We almost missed the pale yellow, small cups of the Chinese Winterblossom.

The camellias also have plump buds, and the pink blossoms are already peeking through.
Everywhere, the tips of the snowdrops and early tulips are appearing. Full of hope, we await the warmer weather and look forward to spring!
