No one can remember that the first frost was already in early October!
Unfortunately, that happened three days ago.
Minus 4°C!!!
Many more sensitive plants were affected. We had been warned and had already moved all our potted plants to a safe place for the winter a week ago. We also picked the tomatoes in the outdoor beds while they were still green and placed them on the windowsill to ripen. Zucchini and eggplants were made into vegetable sauce for the winter. But our late green beans, which had developed so beautifully, fell victim to frost… We still have some hope that they might recover.
